  • I guess I love aquariums so much because I'm a Pisces.
  • Stephen enjoyed a diving machine from long ago that was actually used.
  • But, on we go to see more marvels>>>
  • The oh so famous Villa Ephrussi Rothschild. <br />

Apparently, money was no object in creating this paradise. It is being pampered and petted today as dearly as it was by the original owner.
  • Splendor at every turn.
  • Here we are enjoying every moment.
  • Some gardens we visited were huge, and some were quite small and intimate. We were lucky to visit this garden in the village of Roquebrune.
  • We were led into a lovely small scale garden of herbs and other plantings and a fantastic view.
  • How would you like to keep this big boy trimmed?
  • On we go to Villa Kerylos. Not so much a garden spot, this Villa was created in the early 1900's and is a beautiful reproduction of Greek style property by a French archaeologist Theodore Reinach.
  • There are no words that can describe the lovely patterns of walls and floors we viewed.
  • The patterns were inspiring future clay designs in my head.
  • I was about to get a crick in my neck from viewing all the ceilings.
  • A quilter on our trip was also as intrigued as I was with the designs.
  • This was an early version of a hot tub I guess.
  • There were beautiful pieces of furniture all carefully authenticated as to what was in a Greek home.

  • In the heart of Provence, we stopped at Chateau Barben and had lunch in the castle.
  • Barben is one of the oldest chateaus in Provence, dating back to 1054.
